The Basics – 3-Day Beginner’s Intensive

If you’re brand new to PPF, this is where you’d better start. We’ll give you the solid base you need to start installing with confidence.

  • Intro to films. You’ll learn about different brands, thicknesses, and which film to use when.
  • Preparation is everything. You’ll understand why decontamination and surface preparation matter.
  • Bulk vs. pattern. You’ll learn the pros and cons of both methods and when to choose one over the other.
  • Squeegee control. You’ll master the tools and techniques to manage slip and tack.
  • Invisible edges. You’ll develop the skill of safe trimming and tucking for a professional finish.

Skill Boost – 3-Day Advanced Techniques

If you know the fundamentals but want to be faster, better, and tackle tough jobs without stress, this is for you. Here’s what you will learn during this deep dive.

  • Tricky areas. You’ll learn how to install film on complex bumpers, mirrors, door handles, A-pillars, and full front-ends.
  • Vehicle-specific tricks. You’ll understand the nuances of Teslas, Porsches, BMWs, and other luxury models.
  • Speed + quality hacks. We’ll uncover efficient movements, tool setups, and shortcuts that don’t sacrifice perfection.
  • Troubleshooting tips. We’ll show you how to fix silvering, remove stretch marks, and handle contamination on the spot.

  • Location. Our shop is located in the Chicago area (Naperville region – easy access from the city).
  • Duration. 3 full days (typically 9:00 AM – 5:00/6:00 PM, with breaks for coffee/lunch).
  • Format. Strictly private (our installer works only with you).
  • What’s included. All materials (film, slip, tools), hands-on practice, detailed notes/photos from your sessions, a Certificate of Completion from PPF WRAP, and ongoing support after you leave.
  • Spots. These are super limited, as we balance training with our daily client work, so we book only a few at a time.
